How do I enter the show?
Step 1 - Read and understand the rules
Step 2 - Register with a valid e-mail address
Step 3 - Activate your account through a link sent to you in your e-mail after registration
Step 4 - Rename your photos to match your user name (example: If your username is JDMcCoy you will rename your photos to jdmccoy1.jpg, jdmccoy2.jpg, jdmccoy3.jpg etc.)
Step 5 - Upload the photos you intend to enter, do not upload any photos that you do not plan to have entered into the show. These photos will not be visible until after you have paid your entry fees (usually takes less than 24 hours, but could take as long as 48 hours)
Step 6 - After you have uploaded all photos, visit paypal via the link provided.
Step 7 - Send payment for all entries in a single payment. Entries cost $3.00 each, so 4 photos would cost $12.00. It is important that you pay for all of your photos that you have just uploaded in a single payment. It is also important that in the "notes" section of your paypal payment screen you list the names of the photos that you are paying for.

When will my photos be available for viewing?
The approval process usually takes less than 24 hours, but could take up to 48 hours. In some cases it may only take a few hours. If you chose to pay your entry fees via online checking as opposed to instant transfer, the photos will not be displayed until up to 48 hours after payment has cleared, which can take up to several days. In the event that more than 48 hours have passed since your payment has cleared, and your photos are still not visible, try refreshing the page, if this does not work contact gamefowlshow.com administration.

I already entered some photos this month. Can I enter more photos, or do I have to wait until next month?
You can add more photos as many times as you like. You will not have to perform steps 1 - 3 again, instead refer to steps 4 - 7 for the process.

My prized brood cock won grand champion last month. Can I enter him again this month?
You may enter the same chicken as many times as you like, you may not, however, enter the same photo of that chicken. Simply take a new photo of him and enter it this month.

Can I take 2 photos of my favorite hen and possibly win both grand champion and reserve champion with the same hen?
You may enter as many photos of the same fowl as you like to increase your chances of winning. You cannot, however, win more than one prize with a single chicken in a single month. In the event that the 2 winning photos are from the same user, and appear to be of the same chicken the one chosen as reserve champion will be disqualified, and a new reserve champion will be chosen.

I have 2 stags who look almost identical and you will probably think the photos are of the same rooster and disqualify one of them if they both win. How can I prove that they are not the same rooster?
Take a photo of both roosters in the same photograph (of course have something between them such as a piece of cardboard so they don't fight). Rename this photo to reflect your username and add the word "proof" to the name (for example: If your user name is JDMccoy you would rename this photo to jdmccoy-proof.jpg). You will not need to pay an entry fee for this photo. This photo will not be entered into the contest, but in the event that they both win in the show, the photo will be displayed publicly to clarify that the photos are not of the same bird.

I entered a photo of my rooster yesterday, and then noticed that I had mistakenly uploaded the wrong photo. Can I switch photos?
No. Once a photo is submitted and payment sent, the entry cannot be withdrawn or altered.

I don't have a paypal account. How can I enter the contest?
Anyone who has an e-mail address and a method of payment (checking account, savings account, credit card, debit card) can open a paypal account free of charge. Paypal does not charge you to send money, they collect their fees from the person who receives the money.

I don't have a bank account or credit card. Is there another way I can open a paypal account?
Many chain stores, including Wal-Mart & Kroger, will sell you a prepaid credit card. Simply go to the nearest store that sells these cards and take one from the display and pay for it at the cash register. You can purchase cards valued at $25 and up, and will pay a few extra dollars for it (for example, a $25 prepaid credit card might cost $27 - $28). You may then take your new card home and use it to fund your paypal account.

What will I get if I win?
All entries, regardless of winning or losing will receive, through e-mail, a certificate of participation. This can be printed on your home printer and can serve as proof that you own your fowl for show purposes. Prizes for winning are as follows:
Grand Champion - Ribbon and cash prize
Reserve Champion - Ribbon
Viewer's Choice - Ribbon

If I win Grand Champion, how much cash will I get?
Cash prizes will vary from show to show. Entry fees are divided after paypal fees are deducted as follows:
50% is used to fund prizes (ribbons & postage for each show cost about $4.00, so the grand champion will receive 50% of entry fees minus $4.00 for the ribbons)
25% is donated to gamefowlfacts.org to contribute to costs for maintaining the websites
25% is donated to the winner's choice of UGBA, AGFS, or any state affiliate of UGBA. The donation will be made as a joint donation in the name of gamefowlfacts.org and the winner. If the winner's half of the donation exceeds the cost of annual membership fees to the association, and the winner is not a current member, a portion of the donation will be used to purchase a membership for the winner.

How do I get my winnings from my paypal account so that I can use them?
There are several options available for this. They include:
You can spend the money anywhere that paypal is accepted, including online auctions and many websites.
You can have the money transferred from your paypal account to your bank account.
You can get a debit card from paypal that can be used to spend your paypal balance anywhere a credit card is accepted.
You can instantly generate a credit card number from your paypal account that can be used for online purchases.
You can have paypal mail you a check.
