Game Fowl Cyber Show Rules
Use of photos - All photos
submitted may be used for any purposes deemed appropriate by the
administration of gamefowlshow.com. Such purposes may include, but are
not limited to advertising.
Payment of entry fees - At this
point in time, the only method available for submission of entry fees is
through paypal, therefore all entrants must have a paypal account. Once
your photos are uploaded, the entrant will immediately remit payment.
All entry fees are non-refundable. Entries may not be withdrawn, or
altered once submitted.
Dispute resolution - In the
event that an unforeseen circumstance occurs that is not clearly
explained in the rules, resulting in a dispute, the dispute will be
resolved by means of popular vote of the moderators at gamefowlfacts.org.
Decisions are final and may not be appealed for any reason.
Judging - All entries will be
judged according to the standards set forth by The American Game Fowl
Society (AGFS). Entries will be judged by Mr. Anthony Saville, founder
of AGFS or by a judge appointed by gamefowlshow.com. In the event that
Mr. Saville or other appointed judge is not available for judging,
results may be delayed or a replacement judge may be chosen at the sole
discretion of gamefowlshow.com. In the event that a certified gamefowl
judge is not available, judging will be performed by a committee of at
least 3 members and average of scores given by the committee members
will be used.
Additionally, members will be allowed to vote
for his or her favorite photo on the
gamefowl message forums 3 days prior to the beginning of the next
contest. The entry receiving the most votes from
will be given the "viewer's choice" award.
Scale of Points - Points will be
awarded to each entry based upon the following scale: Body, including
breast, back & belly - 20 pts. Symmetry, condition & constitution - 15
pts. Head including beak & eyes - 10 pts. Neck - 6 pts. Shanks, spurs &
feet - 10 pts. Plumage & color - 8 pts. Thighs - 6 pts. Wings - 8 pts.
Tail - 8 pts. Overall presentation (including background & graphic
designs) - 9 pts.
Classes - At the present time
fowl will be shown in the same class, and concessions will be made by
the judge for age in cases where stags or pullets are shown against
mature fowl. Hopefully, in the near future, the number of entries will
warrant separation into multiple classes and gender separation. American
gamefowl of varying colors will be judged and awarded points based upon
the AGFS standard for their own color. Oriental & Spanish breeds will be
judged based upon the AGFS standard for their own breed (i.e. Asils will
not be expected to show under the American Gamefowl standard, but under
the Asil standard.) Fowl will be placed according to their total points,
as opposed to being placed based upon comparison to another entry, this
will eliminate problems resulting from combining classes.
All Decisions Final - Decision
of the classifier and judge of each division will be final. Any animal
classified out of the class in which it is entered will be moved to the
appropriate class by the classifier. The decision of the classifier
and/or sifter will be final and protests will not be considered. Any
objection or interference by an exhibitor may cause immediate
disqualification of the entry and barred from future shows.
Distribution of Funds - All
funds generated by entry fees, less Paypal fees, will be distributed as
follows: 50% will be used for prizes, 25% will be donated to
gamefowlfacts.org, 25% will be donated to the winner's choice of UGBA,
AGFS or any state affiliate of the UGBA as a joint donation made under
the name of the winner and gamefowlfacts.org.
Prizes - Ribbons will be awarded
to the champion & reserve champion. A "Viewer's Choice" ribbon will be
awarded to the entry that gets the most votes using a voting poll on the
gamefowl message forums. The poll will be set up three days before
the end of the month or each contest. Registered forum members will be
allowed to make one vote for their favorite photo. Cash award will
be awarded to the overall grand champion of the show. Cash awards will
be paid via paypal to the email address that you used to pay your entry
fees. Ribbons will be mailed by USPS to the address that is verified on
your paypal account. Gamefowlshow.com will make every effort possible to
ensure safe delivery of ribbons, however due to the many circumstances
beyond our control, cannot guarantee delivery. A digital copy of a
certificate of participation will be delivered via email to all
participants. This certificate will be suitable for printing on your
home printer. In the event that you do not have a printer, you may opt
to save the digital image to a disk and enlist the aid of a third party.
Alteration of Photos - All
photos must be submitted in .jpg or .gif format. You may alter the
background of your image in any way in efforts to make the photo more
appealing or presentable. You may not alter the fowl itself in the image
in any way other than resizing or cropping. Only one bird may be shown
in the photo. Photos depicting more than one bird will be immediately
disqualified.
Dubbing - Any males shown that
are older than 12 months should have spurs trimmed to 3/8" length and
have combs & wattles dubbed. Dubbing of earlobes is at your own
discretion. Points will be deducted for undubbed cocks.
Interpretation of Rules -
gamefowlshow.com reserves the right to the interpretation of these
rules, and to make any changes necessary without advance notice.
Display and Time Span of Entries
- Each contest round will begin on the 1st day of each month and winners
will be announced on the 1st day of the following month. Entries
received after the 22nd day of the month will, at the discretion of
gamefowlshow.com and/or the judge, be held over to be entered in the
next month's competition. Entries will be posted for public display
within 48 hours of receipt of payment of entry fees.
Multiple Entries - There is no
limit to the number of entries a single participant my submit. You may
enter more than one photo of the same fowl, however you may not win
multiple places with the same bird (i.e. You cannot take both champion &
reserve champion with the same bird). This does not disqualify said fowl
from winning awards in other contests. You may enter the same cock or
hen in as many separate shows as you choose, regardless of previous
wins. In the event that you have submitted photos of two separate fowl
who look very similar, in the same show, it is advisable that you send a
separate photo that shows both birds in question. You will not be
charged for this photo, and it will not be entered in the show. It may,
however, be publicly displayed for clarification purposes.
Age - All entries must be at
least of breeding age (approximately 6 months old).
Eligibility - Any United States
resident over the age of 13 are eligible to enter. Children under the
age of 13 may enter only with parental consent. Parental consent will be
established once the parent has allowed the child to use parent's paypal
account for payment of entry fees. By submitting an entry you certify
that you are a United States resident.
Liability - It is the
responsibility of the participant to verify that participation in this
show is not in violation of any State or local laws. It is also the
responsibility of the participant to follow proper filing procedures and
pay applicable Federal, State & local taxes based upon cash prizes
received. Upon submission of photos you certify that you have made
reasonable effort to ensure that all legal matters are in order, and
agree to hold gamefowlshow.com harmless should any legal problems arise
from participation in this show.
Acceptance of Rules - Upon
submission of photos, the participant certifies that he or she has read
and understands these rules, and agrees to abide by these rules.
